HARVEY HALF PRICE BLINDS!
Harvey Half Price Blinds is a brand character developed with the team at Gatecrasher advertising for their client Half Price Blinds. Harvey is their mascot, who guides clients through the heady world of window blind selection. He was developed as a 2D character initially, but then it was decided to bring him to life in 3D!
Cam took care of the 2D design, development, 3d animation, rendering and rigging.

THE HISTORY OF HARVEY
We also explored the history of Harvey with a series of vignettes from birth, through the teenage years and finally buying his own home. He displayed an early sense of passion for drapery and fabric as you can see below…..
Development journey
Harvey started out as a 2d concept, referencing a mid century illustration style, but over time he morphed into a 3d version but still keeping true to the mid century super stylised forms.
He ended up as a wacky, camp and hilarious character who has been very well recieved and used throughout Half Price Blind’s branding online.

Harvey has been animated as well, short clips for top and tail of various promotional videos were great fun to animate. Stay tuned for more examples to come.
