The Belmonster Project.

The Belmonster Project.

Born from a community children's book workshop and evolved over six award-winning years, the Belmonsters are a masterclass in multidisciplinary storytelling. What started as hand-drawn characters has expanded into a vast ecosystem of children’s books, 3D cinema ads, and bilingual films for international exchange. This long-term collaboration with the City of Belmont proves that character-led narratives are the ultimate tool for community engagement.

The Belmonsters: A Multi-Year Community Engagement Legacy

(01)

Award-winning character-led storytelling for the City of Belmont.

Starting in 2016 as a series of community workshops, the Belmonsters project has evolved into a 6+ year collaboration with the City of Belmont. This long-running partnership has spanned almost every creative medium – from hand-drawn children’s books and large-scale oil paintings for the municipal library to 3D animated films and national award-winning community engagement campaigns.

Head Office leads the full creative production of this ecosystem, ensuring that characters born from the community’s imagination are translated into high-quality assets, including cinema advertising, augmented reality (AR) installations, and even life-sized mascots and merchandise.

International Exchange & Cinema

(02)

Bilingual storytelling and state-wide cinema campaigns

Our work with the City of Belmont has extended beyond local borders. We produced the bilingual animated short “The Adventures of a Belmonster in Adachi-Ku” to celebrate 40 years of sister-city relations with Japan. More recently, we delivered “The Adventures of a Super Belmonster,” a local cinema campaign designed to raise community awareness about the role of local rangers, accompanied by a search and find book featuring our hero, Bella the Belmonster!

Whether using hand-drawn 2D styles for educational books or high-fidelity 3D animation for cinema screens, Head Office handles the entire production pipeline, from concept development and 3D modelling to sound design and final post-production.
