Creature of Habit.

Creature of Habit.

To facilitate the City’s transition to FOGO waste management, we needed a visual language that felt approachable and non-instructional. Working with The Brand Agency, we developed a 3D "Creature" with a tactile, stop-motion aesthetic. By focusing on "perfectly imperfect" design and relatable character performances, we turned a government mandate into an engaging community conversation.

3D Character Design & FOGO Campaign

Changing community habits is a challenge, so we used a tactile, character-led approach to make the transition easier. Working with The Brand Agency, we developed the 'Creature of Habit' campaign for the City of Perth. The project focused on guiding residents through the shift to FOGO waste management with a relatable, high-craft visual style.

Tactile 3D Character Development

Replicating the charm of traditional stop-motion

To give the campaign a nostalgic, handmade feel, we executed the project with a deliberate stop-motion aesthetic. We handled the full 3D rigging, modelling, and texturing of the "Creature," intentionally using "janky" fur textures and a low frame rate to replicate the charm of traditional claymation.

Crafting a locally relevant visual narrative.

We created custom 3D environments designed to mirror an East Perth townhouse, ensuring the content felt locally relevant. By combining "Behavioural Change" strategy with high-end CGI, we turned a government recycling mandate into a series of engaging, shareable social media assets.
